Faces and Places

I am interested in the connection people have with places, sometimes, places we have not yet visited, however we feel connected to or yearn to go to. This could stem from an unknown pull or a feeling of deja vu. In my scenes and portraits, I like to make the mundane magical using bright vivacious colours, playing between our reality and other worlds. My paintings are continual explorations of colour, form and texture. I am currently investigating how far I can stretch the form whilst still portraying the essence and energy of a person or place.
