Most of the Landscapes in my paintings are photographs I have personally taken or imagined. I enjoy painting realism. To me reproducing it realistically takes so much time and knowledge. I have always been drawn to Old masters and marveled at all the intricate details of bygone times. It is because of those paintings we know how life was back then. The fashions, the looks of bygone periods are kept alive because of those Masters. I am so intrigued by this that I want to re-create that splendor for myself. My first ever realistic painting is the "Tea House in Guangzhou". I was so inspired by the sheer beauty of the garden design that I knew I had to paint it.
