Metamorphosis Series

This series is from 'Metamorphosis' solo-exhibition at The Bricklane Gallery Annex in London. It was 2013 and my first real exhibition as professional painter. A lot of the paintings featured half animal, half human hybrids in surreal, fable-like situations. I wanted to create a dreamscape for the viewer to be able to escape into with their own thoughts. And to explore capturing the essence of these characters. I made a lot of the characters life-size so they feel really real in the room.
