Physiognomy (face study )

PHYSIOGNOMY is the assessment of a person's character or personality from his or her outer appearance, as almost all creatures, manifest formula for facial composition. Faces tell us more about a person than any other physical attribute and we evaluate each other from first impressions based largely on facial expressions. The ability to read faces became a tool for human survival as recent studies have suggested that facial appearances do "contain a kernel of truth" about a person's personality.
