Plastic Fantastic

Plastic Fantastic is a Series of artworks made from post-consumer reclaimed plastic in the form of plastic wrap, bags and packaging that can't be recycled in Australia. My process is to use layers of plastic that I have painted and create minimalist artworks. The gold leaf shimmers below the layers of opaque painted plastic and clear plastic. Plastic is not Fantastic - but I have found it to be a responsive material in creating something that is more than landfill. Small actions have the potential to grow into something wonderful.
