Water Worlds

Flowing water in a creek is one of those things that, more than almost anything else, makes it clear that everything around us is constantly changing. The water surface refracts the light and stretches and compresses the appearance of the stones, the leaves or the branches at the bottom of the creek. The ripples on the surface permanently change this image. Light is reflected and with it the image of the surroundings with the branches of the trees, reeds and the sky. The branches are bent and curled by the shape of the waves and overlay the image of the bottom.
