World on Washi

Denise’s on-going body of work, entitled ‘World on Washi’ is inspired by a recent deep dive into the culture of her current home country. Japanese tradition, ceremony and minimalist esthetics, blended with modern techniques ­result in ­exquisitely vibrant pieces that highlight the beauty and delicacy of Japanese paper. Deeply personal, the pieces combined with their titles, allow us a glimpse into the ­artists mind. As we gaze upon Denise’s unique universes we are ­invited to be shamelessly voyeuristic and encouraged to make up stories of our own.
