A royal hunt.

I am very fond of hunting greyhounds. I am fascinated by the theme of speed and plasticity of a graceful dog's body while running. This is how I created the series of works ‘Tsar's Hunt’, which I did with dry pastel. It is a soft material, but to create the effect of movement, its gustiness and passion, I deliberately made sharp strokes. After all, a line drawn on a piece of paper or canvas activates the same neurons in the brain that are responsible for movement similar to the movement that produced the line.
