Alzheimer's

Works about Alzheimer's and how few options patients have to avoid suffering, I am avid about rights for patients to chose assisted suicide for themselves while they still can and or once the disease has taken over. Politics and religion have shaped our laws to allow terrible suffering. Assisted suicide is often meet with a knee-jerk reaction of rejection, imagining that patients would, like our beloved fur babies, be "put to sleep" without their approval. I am arguing for the freedom of all to choose how they want to live and end their life, safely with professional help. Patients experience many unexpected drastic changes in emotion: "Faces of Alzheimer's" The memories of a departed loved one can haunt the caregivers: "Witches, ghosts"
