BEACH LIFE

This series of works are documentary photographs of beach life scenes on the Italian adriatic coast. The pictures were taken in the summer of 2010 during a two-week stay on the beaches of Carola, Cavallino-Treporti and Eraclea Mare. On closer inspection you can always recognize groups or individuals that are separated. People never look directly into the camera, are on their own, seem apathetic and thoughtful. A feeling of peace and silence manifests itself, but also of relaxation. The viewer attends the scenes, is right in the middle of them.
