Body postures

In my work I am often looking for characteristic elements of body language. Which element of body language do I find most decisive for expressing the desired expression in a 3d-art sculpture? Which elements of the expression to be imagined, promote recognisability? It's like determining the moment when you freeze a movie at the correct shot.
