Chicago Memories

These paintings were created at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago during a residency there in 2005. While painting this I was crying, thinking about painful emotions of self doubt and fear.The initial line drawing was done in 2 minutes as an impression of my feelings, not intellectualized or corrected. Black and white acrylic was applied followed by about 20 lawyers of Galkyd mixed with oil paint and rubbed off to create a patina.This took several years.
