best of_the best of

A series of mixed media works in which the painted and drawn mark are combined with collaged elements. The found imagery is all sourced from a series of texts titled "Best of Photo Journalism". The text was quickly sourced for the most impressionable imagery. The resulting collection was further filtered, and combined with hand made marks. The effort is to construct a visual space where original marks combine with borrowed images to progresses and update what has already been labeled as the "best of".
