Contrasts Union

I’ve been researching contrasts and human perception for almost a decade; the most inspiring fields that influence me strongly are Gestalt psychology and Quantum Physics. After working on the painted movie “Loving Vincent”, I was under strong impression of the storytelling of the movie. “The Contrasts Union” are my story about perception. These paintings show 4 characters and my vision of their self-understanding after 2 decades; they talk about perception, love and growing up, especially. I imagined the two men as the same one as young and as older, and the same for the two women. The observer is of course free to interpret it differently.
