Desert Island

This series evoke a nostalgic view of travelling that the word voyage expresses so well. Travelling as discovery, as facing the mysterious with awe. In this case the travelling has been the process of creating the artworks itself. Working with the unpredictability of ink, being open to whatever came and responding to it quickly and intuitively to create imaginary maps, landscapes and flora. A travelling inwards to a place of creative reverie.
