false memories/fake photos

Dreams, real-life experiences, stories told by others, childhood photos, lies, and fairy tales — all blended into a tangled web. These elements merge into narratives that feel like real memories, yet I know they can’t be true. I choose to embrace them as false memories, savoring their playful ambiguity. Often, like a detective, I try to uncover the fragments of truth hidden within these fabricated stories. In my artwork, I incorporate pieces of old photographs, editing and reconstructing them. I sometimes present the resulting printed photos to family and friends, letting them believe these images are real — playfully interfering with their own memories. I also paint some of these memories, revealing new layers of detail and sensation.
