Forty-Nine Days/Forty-Nine Doors

Taav began Forty-Nine Days/Forty-Nine Doors ten years ago. Inspired by The Tibetan Book of The Dead, this series of abstract paintings employ totemic shapes, symbols, and patterns, as well as his own idiosyncratic iconography in an attempt to depict some of the obstacles the spirit need confront as it progresses from one life to the next.
