From Above

These works are inspired by a series of drawings/mixed media works made in 1994. This goes back to the source of my recent landscape paintings. I have included some of the original drawings to give you a flavour of the source material. Iive near Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England. The plain is full of Archaeology especially ancient neolithic and Bronze age sites. I field walk and collect neolithic flints such as arrows and axe heads. The ground is full of thousands of years of layers of human occupation. I wanted to refer to this in the drawings.
