lives in sight

I reflect on the fascination that firearms provoke in the collective unconscious. Regardless of age or gender, everyone perceives them as an object of power. But an abstract power, without contextualization or consequences. While behind the silhouette of an Uzi, a Glock or a Kalashnikov, how many lives lost, territories wiped out? I am currently developing this series of collages of images seen through life-size cutouts of weapons, which shows what they impact, humans, animals and landscapes. Photocopies pasted behind a mat cut into the shape of a weapon. Three three different formats.
