Lonely Body (Waiting, Lisbon 2016

The Lonely Body is a research project exploring my body’s relationship with society. It embodies the female form as a poetic expression, questioning nudity and its perception in space. Shot in Lisbon in 2016, this series reflects on societal pressures on women. Through this work, I reclaim my body, using nudity as liberation rather than exposure. The project also explores solitude—how the female body exists beyond external control. Light, texture, and movement create a space where the body is both seen and unseen. The Lonely Body redefines the relationship between self and gaze, inviting deeper engagement with identity and perception.
