The Migration series presents 40 paintings of identical format 50 × 70 cm, oil on canvas with the subject of the sea. The Mediterranean Sea. ​ Beyond its contemplative aspect, this theme is a classic subject of painting. Here, it takes on its full contemporary dimension through the current challenges of migratory flows and issues related to global warming. Black and white brings a very special distance from nature. We are in a relationship to nuance, to tonality. The paintings are titled day after day like an infinite variation, a crossing, a logbook.
