Not Black and White
These sewn collages of skin tones reference city grids. I mixed more than seventy skin tone colors inspired by the photographs of Angelica Dass in her ongoing project “Humanae.” In the studio, an equalization occurs that doesn’t outside. Mixing is an action that connects to the brain and facilitates shift.
