Artifice
Artifice begins as a search that feeds on traces, clues, parts of a whole that is built in pieces, almost like an archaeological discovery. I like to think of the process as a look into the emptiness of the night, where darkness comes first and that occupies everything, but little by little our sensitivity sharpens and we begin to perceive differently, to perceive the other, the veiled , what was kept hidden in full light, in this act not only the sight gets used and tries to capture the essentials but also the imagination manifests itself as a way of completing a materiality, a game of encounters and oppositions between the real and the metaphysical which is presented as an illusion and at the same time as a truth.
