'Painting is Infinite' plays on a quote from David Lynch that he made shortly after quitting film-making. The back of the canvas is surrealistically converted into a window for the contemplation of the cosmos. Ultimately the piece celebrate the phenomenon that exists which allows man to be transported by Art. 'I could be bounded in a nutshell and count myself a king of infinite space' Shakespeare, Hamlet Act 2 Scene 2, Hamlet may have meant that although we human beings are very limited physically, out minds are free to explore the whole universe.
