Inspired by Emma Amos

Discover a new curated collection inspired by the figurative postmodernist artist Emma Amos, who passed away earlier this year. As a Black artist working in New York in the 1960s, Amos explored issues of race, class, and sex in her paintings and printmaking, depicting mostly women—always clothed—with colors and details that portray not only their bodies but their *culture*.
