X-scapes

The X-scapes collection is revisiting the traditional landscapes-theme. The paintings blend imaginary and realistic representations, particularly emphasising the experience of presence in the new and unexplored places. 'X' in the title of this collection stands for locations (land, sea, sky, etc) that represent triggers of new experience as they help observers to escape from their daily mind-paths. The sense of presence in these unexplored locations emerges from the painting-technique used to create some realistic and tactile textures that vary in their luminosity, refraction, and roughness.
