Discover a new curated collection inspired by the work of contemporary artist Mickalene Thomas, one of the preeminent artists of her generation. Influenced by the world of fashion and the work of fellow Black artist Carrie Mae Weems at an early age, Thomas explores issues of femininity, beauty, race, sexuality, and celebrity in her paintings and collages—oftentimes incorporating rhinestones and drawing on pop culture as well as the early modernist periods of art history for inspiration.
