Pez on Earth

The “Pez on Earth” series began when I found thirteen old Pez dispensers in a box I hadn’t opened in years. For fun I displayed them on a 12-foot-high steel beam in my studio. Over ten years, the collection grew to several hundred as family and friends gifted them regularly. As the display became much larger, the collection drew lots of attention during photo exhibitions. This inspired me to photograph seventy-five+ dispensers over a number of years, including several “Pezidents.” By combining macro-photography and varied lighting techniques with carefully constructed backgrounds, this fun collection came alive.
