Studio Stills

This spring (2013) I gave myself an assignment. Shoot a series of still lifes unlike anything else I'd done before, in my studio, using just any materials 'lying around'. I found myself setting up compositions with bottle(s), gelatine filters, a small variety of background papers, foil and the occasional mirror - no more, no less. Just using available daylight. I worked irregularly on this series for over three mnonths. The exercise proved quite 'therapeutic'; a welcome change from the location photography I do a lot, at home and abroad.
