Capturing Hollywood History

Stretching for six blocks from Third to Ninth Streets along South Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles, the theater district includes 12 movie theaters built between 1910 and 1931. By 1931, the district had the highest concentration of cinemas in the world, Many are dilapidated, others occupied by stores or churches and some have been brought back to life. In 2021 I started documenting them and their stories. When I'm finished photographing them, it will be a unique, one-of-a-kind collection, of Hollywood history.
