Gardens of Wabi Sabi

Gardens of Wabi and Sabi. My numerous stays in Japan over the past three decade have had a lasting effect on my view of things. This is also true of my involvement with Japanese gardens, bonsai, and many years of co-operation with people from this field of work. The spirit of Wabi-Sabi has changed my perception of the world on a long-term basis. Wabi-Sabi has its origins in Zen Buddhism and the tea ceremony. In my project “Gardens of Wabi and Sabi”, and with the aid of pictures, I have transported this ‘seeing and feeling’ and made it accessible to the viewer.
