Does the city environment make you feel anonymous, unseen, or alone? Do we take our identity for granted? It’s always with us, but is it compromised when we enter a city environment? And what if a city’s traffic or human presence is itself minimised or removed altogether, is a city’s own identity then compromised also? Produced in Lyon, France, ‘Identity’ is a photographic project whose narrative is to portray an anonymous, enigmatic city. A deserted urban environment free of cars, the identity of its human population is obscured or largely reduced. As a viewer of these works, you have become a witness of this silent city.
