Lake Cochiti

Modern civilization's pull on Cochiti's ancestors, the Cochiti Pueblo Indians. Nature versus human. Human vs nature. Human vs human. Past versus future. Every time I visited, I felt the tension, even before knowing Cochiti's history. The tension was fascinating. A subtle enmity beneath a veil of tranquility and the clash of nature and technology. Usually, when I see discord between human and nature, it is clear. Cochiti is different. It's not so obvious. Time will reveal the invasion.
