Attention to color theory and skilled painting qualities inform these organic hi-definition forms. Twenty-five personalities were created out of the artist's imagination over several months during a creative period while building on a new large body of work called “Poetics and Pragmatism”. The project is open-ended and allows both of Holland's personalities, the artist and the engineer, to experiment freely with artistic styles and alternative materials. His imagery oscillates between realism and magical realism, representation and abstraction. These ideas are being developed in these small experimental digital paintings.
