The Debt Doll Project

For the Saatchi Collection, Berd has decided to showcase The Debt Doll Project. Initially, started in 2014, the project was created out of a need to expose the student debt crisis and to pay off my student loan debt through art making. The debt dolls made their debut on the Debt Fair(http://www.debtfair.org/)artist platform in 2014 at Abrons Art Center in New York City. They have made an appearance on the streets of NYC as well as, galleries. The project continues as I continue to pay off my debt with the hope of being forgiven in 2024.
