"THE MODEL"

I use the photos of models in my paintings – the essence of contemporary “advertisement” culture – to speak about the images cultivated by this culture and about its “demand”. My paintings play with the esthetics and clichés of glamour magazines: beautiful people, fashion postures, and light erotic, since these are the most demanded goods in the advertisement market of beautiful lives and pretty things. However, the main purpose of my paintings is not to create a viewer’s interest in this particular visual image, but rather in what is behind this image.
