Transformed Portraits

This Transformed Portrait starts with an oil painting on a wrapped canvas. After the paint has dried, the artist covers the image with 2 coats of clear, hot encaustic wax. Then oil glazes, ink transfers are applied to the painting. The Ink transfers add to the abstract rhythm, finishing with textured, raised cold wax patterns.
