Tribute to the World Trade Center

The collection is part of the "Lensfield Project" and includes about 350 selected photographs, all taken in analog from 1996 - 2014. The first part is dedicated to the WTC as an architectural symbol of money and power, as a landmark of New York in the Financial District and its visible omnipresence as a landmark from any part of the city, be it from the air, Brooklyn, the Bronx or New Jersey. The last photographs of this part were taken in May 2001. The second part shows the ruins of the WTC in September 2001, Ground Zero, the people of the city, their work, their grief and their hopes. The third part shows the WTC 1, the new landmark and skyline of NYC, the new buildings of the WTC complex and the pools at the former Ground Zero.
