Wonder Whale 1 & 2

Wonder Whale 1 & 2 is a series of narrative mixed media paintings created in 2018. The imagery was created by layering18th century etchings of whaling printed on transparent polyester film, painted with acrylic paint and gesso and sewn to dyed paper. Glass beads, thread and cut away details finish these pieces.
