Collage on paper. This work was inspired by the gritty and tattered walls of inner city Philadelphia. I always enjoy viewing the boarded walls to construction sites, covered in street posters and graffiti that often span several blocks. The never ending battle between the artists trying to display their work, and the city trying to keep the walls clean, the new works constantly on display, it never gets old. This collage of ripped posters is my depiction of the walls and the artists struggle to have their work seen.
