ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Aurora is a handmade felt wall piece inspired by light. It is named after the Northern Lights, and also means Dawn, when light begins the day. It is made of dyed, unspun wool using an ancient textile technique where the wool fibers are locked together in hot water by hand. I then build up the surface with stitching and needle-felting. The piece is cleanable by gentle vacuuming through mesh (provided).
