About The Artwork
Bee Flowers was inspired by the idea that the honey bees find their way to the flower’s nectar by the “maps” on the petals. I used vintage European maps from my travels. l tore and folded them into shapes taking care to reveal key words of cities and rivers. The viewer’s eyes will traverse the artwork appreciating both the geography and the flowers. Bee Flowers is on Arches quality watercolor paper. As it is a 3 dimensional collage, it is best framed in a shadow box.
