About The Artwork
Since I laid eyes on DaVinci's masterworks for the first time, especially female portraits, these faces always evoked different emotions and stories. Each emotion or story has changed from time to time based on my own life experiences. However, it always touched something deep within my core. Imagine the old master's dream and vision in modern way. With this encaustic painting, the transparency from wax and vivid night scape from acrylics are the perfect marriage. The textures are achieved with multiple layers of old news prints and paints. Includes whimsical elements such as silk thread and metal brads.
