ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This little assemblage is a diptych created out of many different materials: wood that I cut with a jigsaw and paint with acrylics; rice paper; watercolor and marker on paper; silk hand-painted with silk dyes; synthetic fiber, and thread. Substrate is 2 cradled boards side by side. Inspired by the landscape of the Algarve in southern Portugal, the shapes and colors area reference to the ocean, rocks, beach glass and shells. Perfect size for an apartment or an accent area.
