About The Artwork
Original - collage on the 300gsm paper, unframed. Artwork is part of the serie "YEAR 2020". The "YEAR 2020" serie maps and in binary code retells events and phenomena more or less related to COVID-19. BC - 01000011 01001111 01010110 01001001 01000100 00101101 00110001 00111001 BINARY CODE and COVID-19. Both do not know borders, do not select, do not differentiate and the potential for their impact is enormous. However, the BINARY CODE connects and opens up the possibilities, COVID-19 closes and divides. BINARY CODE - by my opinion the most universal and widespread language in our world. I purposefully choose a "word" that conveys a certain intense feeling, event, phenomenon, experience or place. I assign a color, texture, or even structure to a "word", which internally and externally binds me to the meaning that given "word" embodies. and COINCIDENCE, it is simply a mechanical transcription of a "word" into binary code, where I do not know in advance the position, mutual relations and quantity proportions of zeros and units, neither intend to verify them. Comprehensive and simple – DESTINATED COINCIDENCE.
