Deep blue and stripes Collage

To my own surprise, when this work was finished, pictures of some of the works of Gerhard Richter came into my mind. In the beginning, after I coated the gelatine-blueprintlayer with silver leaf, the result was disappointing. I then decided to let go my original plans and to start playing, intuitively. I made violent scratches in the blueprint-and silverleaf-layer, then scotch adhesive tape in parallel lines and then remove them again, so that parts of the undelaying layers came lose too. When I finally added black paint on the back, the result was very beautiful in my eyes. I hope that the viewers are going to be appealed by the texture and the colors of this work. I hope that, just like me, they will feel a sense of harmony and happiness. I had no specific reason to chose this particular style because this work was the result of a very spontaneous process.
