ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This abstract artwork was inspired by the debilitating effects of dementia. It is a very tactile work constructed of paper pasted onto canvas and crochet pieces attached to the canvas. It deals with forgetting and remembering, the familiar and the unfamiliar, as well as the concept of how everything is connected and how a person with dementia feels disconnected from everything while creating a new world to survive in.
