About The Artwork
Art for art's sake is used to convey the idea that the artist's only aim of a work of art,is the self-expression of the individual artist who creates it. This series needs no justification, it serves no political, didactic, they were aesthetics used in expressing the artists state of mind at that time, combining different forms and elements. They were experiments conducted by the artist,using old fashion magazines and finding special elements in each cutouts.Looking closely into the cutouts, the mosaic forms have excerpts of arts from basquiat, vintage statues, and artworks in museums. The artist just wanted to be expressive.
