ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I wanted to do a collage with some wonderful printed paper designs I had collected. But I wanted to be in control of the subject matter and drawing. So I decided to cut and paste a women's face from little pieces of paper of different colors and values. This "painting" started as an experiment and turned into art piece that is hard to fathom. It is impossible to tell that it is made from paper alone until you get up close and can see the individual pieces. It was a fun and creative endeavor. I hope you like it.
