Girlfriends, naive style. Collage

I was born in Riga, in the Socialist Soviet Republic of Latvia, in winter 1975.I am an upset left-hander, I remember I got sick at some point and was sent to a medical center for a few months, and there I was forced to write and draw with my right hand, my left hand being tied in my back. As a result, today I use both my hands to draw and create. In spite of this episode, I remember my childhood as a pleasant time, I played a lot with my sisters, and we were sawing dolls using paper and clothes, and that was my first artistic and creative experience. As a kid, I was playing and cutting papers to create figures. I also started to copy faces from paintings with pencils. My life path took me from Riga to Paris to study, and that is where I met my future husband, then I moved to Aix-en-Provence where my mother-in-law, who is an iron sculptor, stimulated me to keep creating, and took me under her wing for the first exhibitions. I am now living and working in Troyes, in the middle of the Champagne area, I do not find it necessary to explain further which kind of wine is coming from the surrounding wineyards … The result of these different experiences is unique paper mosaic collages, portrait pop-art style.I am an autodidact in this technique, I find it of a real interest, and take pride in displaying this. I want to take it further. I use magazines as a raw material. My artwork is colourful, and gives an unusual feeling of intrigue. The collage technique makes the emotional aspects stronger, since it is impossible to make color gradients. Strength and originality of my artworks is widely acknowledged.I take part in a few contests internationally. My inspiration comes from Yoruzu Tetsugoro and Robert Rauschenberg.
